Southdown Babydoll Sheep & Fiber Products

Stay Awhile

We have a small homestead of 4.5 acres located in Berthoud, Colorado. Breeding Southdown Babydoll Sheep has become a part of our rhythm here on the farm, offering available lambs (registered with NABSSAR, BSSBA, and unregistered) each spring. Southdown Babydolls in particular make for the best lawn pets as they are smaller in size, and friendly and docile.

Why Baby Doll Sheep?

Being smaller breeds of sheep , we were drawn to these because of our size of barn and pasture and wanting to be able to maintain optimal health for all of our animals. They enjoy their spring, summer, and fall on the pasture, and have a safe and cozy barn to retreat to each evening and shelter in permanently over the winter months.

Why Choose Our Wool?

Babydolls speciality is exceptionally soft wool. Their fiber is naturally fine, springy with a high loft, making it warm, durable, and luxuriously soft. It has a micron count of 22-28, similar to cashmere, which means it won’t itch like traditional wool. The natural elasticity of the fiber makes it perfect for cozy garments, blankets, and artisan crafts!
